Kevin Davies

Kevin’s driftwood creations include:

* Fish of various shapes, sizes, colours, and styles

* An array of imaginary faces and figures

* Abstract sculptures

He readily admits that his work has a certain “primitiveness.”

“There’s a hint of aboriginal expression of many cultures, especially New Zealand and British Columbia,” he says, “This influence is due to the fact that I was born in New Zealand and lived there until my late 20s. Since then, I have lived in BC and have absorbed the Northwest culture as much as I can.”

Kevin’s pieces have a certain playfulness and whimsy while also offering a social ingredient. He strives for balance in shape, style, and colour. Each piece is completely unique, as the wood itself is so varied.
