THE ZIGFRIED GIRLS – FINE ART BY SUSHEELA KUNDARGI
[nggallery id=47]
The Ziegfeld Follies (1907–1931), were a series of theatrical revues inspired by the Folies Bergère of Paris. The showgirls of these follies known as the Ziegfeld Girls, inspired an era, thanks to Florenz Ziegfeld, who was known as the “glorifier of the American girl”
The exhibition showcases the artwork of course, but also the stories behind the girls, and the history of the titillating Flapper era, that Ziegfeld created.
