Our Constitution

1. The name of the Society is The Beaumont Studios Artist Society

2. The purposes of the society are:
 


(A) To create a community and environment where artists and small business owners can meet, work together, cross pollinate with clients & socialize.

(B) To bring together artists, artisans, designers and small business owners as a united community to participate in public and private artistic events and opportunities.

(C) To advance the public’s knowledge and interest in the Vancouver art scene through participation in events and artistic exhibitions.

Matthew Shaun Casey, M.Sc.Pl., B.A.Hons.

Matthew has spent his professional career as a real estate professional for the past 20 years in the fields of development, property management and urban planning. He attended Upper Canada College in Toronto and has a Bachelors degree from Carleton University and a Master of Science degree in Urban Planning from the University of Toronto. He has participated for many years as an active volunteer on various committees for the Immaculate Conception Church and was also on the parent/teacher association for the elementary school which his children attend. He has been involved with the Membership Committee at Shaughnessy Golf and Country Club for the last 10 years and also served on the Club’s Board of Directors in 2004/2005. He has been very involved in Federal politics and real estate associations. He has a passion for art and photography especially with subject matter including architecture, urban street vernacular and landscapes.
